Basic Meditation Practice

Saturday 3:30 p.m. (ET)

We meet every Saturday for Basic Meditation Practice which is open to both new and experienced meditators.  We want to make meditation practice accessible to everyone, so there is no fee or reservation required for the class. Donation is welcome.
The door is normally open at 3:15 pm. and the meditation practice starts at 3:30 p.m. If you are new to this class, please arrive 5-15 minutes before class begin for registration and short introduction. In your next participation, you are not required to arrive early to re-register, however, we require that you arrive no later than 3:30 so that it will not disrupt meditators who are sitting in the meditation room.

Senior Couple Meditating

Chanting and Meditation

Tuesday 7 p.m. (ET)

Every Tuesday night, we have a session that begins with 15 minutes chanting followed by a guided meditation.  Meditation time for this session is typically longer than the Basic Meditation Practice on Saturday.  If you have learned some basic meditation from Saturday class already and are ready to sit silently for about an hour, we are happy to have you join us in this class. A reservation is not required.

Meditate at home

Afternoon Break Relaxation

Thursday 1 p.m. (ET)

Breaks in a workday are important.  The science clearly shows that taking a cognitive timeout helps us to work better and feel better. We concentrate better and feel less stressed when we purposefully detach from work and enjoy a real break by finding a quiet cozy area to close our eyes to relax  body and mind.

If finding a right spot in your house or your workplace to meditate alone is quite challenging, you are welcome meditate with a group at DIMC every THURSDAY 1-1:45 p.m.  During the forty-five-minute session, you will be guided to relax yourself deeply by doing body scan, visualization, mantra, and loving kindness meditation. The session is donation based. No reservation needed.

This meditation session is not available online. Please join in-person only. 

Moon Gazing

Full Moon Meditation

Full Moon Night 9 p.m. (ET)

We meet once a month every full moon night at 9 - 10 p.m. for  wisdom talk, candle lighting, loving kindness meditation, and Q&A with Buddhist monks. All are welcomed. You can bring family and friends to enjoy this peaceful candle lighting event. Also, It will be live on zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.
